Ramappa Temple

The Ramappa Temple, also known as Ramalingeswara Temple and it is located at Jayashankar Bhupalpally District and 77Km far from Warangal, the ancient capital of the Kakatiya Dynasty, 158 km from Hyderabad, in the state of Telangana, in south India.  It is located in a valley of the village of Venkatapur Mandal in Palampet. The main structure is in a reddish sandstone, but the columns around the outside have large black basalt brackets. These are sculpted like mythical animals or dancers or musicians, and are the masterpieces of Kakatiya art.
